LOIRE VALLEY

This wine comes from Mellot’s home domaine of La Moussière, It is young, bold and intense, with a mix of spice, concentrated citrus and crisp acidity. The depth of flavor in this wine is extraordinary and merits aging.

Welcoming aromas of grapefruit with hints of citrus, lemon peel and gooseberry. Notes of earthiness peppered throughout. Pair with spring vegetables or poultry dishes.

Remarkably aromatic with white flower and fruit fragrances. On the palate it reveals a freshness that is pure and clean. Notes of citrus, apple and gooseberry are found in this lively wine. Incredible value from soils composed of clay and limestone.

Stunning, georgeous Chenin, from the dry Savenneries AOC in Loire Valley. Finely poised flavors and aromas of Lime, Honey, white flowers, are stretched tight around the steely mineraly core of acid. Needs time, but so good now!

The 2019 Sancerre Bourgeoisie has a sense of weight without heaviness. It offers real power and purpose and a linear finish. The fruit is reminiscent of apple strudel – cinnamon and pastry – perhaps due to partial fermentation in barrel. Fresh and fine.
