Bright bouquet of currant, raspberry and blackberry. The mouth is full and delicious with peppery notes, supple tannins, for an already very pleasurable wine. Read more..
The appellation
“Sizie” refers to the name of a former owner of the plot back in
the 13th century, Renaud de Sessie, who also owned important
tanneries in Beaune. Planted on fairly clayey soil at the foot of
the hillside, this vine offers us a generous, fruity, open,
pleasurable wine that drinks well young but can be kept for a
good 15 years too.
The wine and the style
Today's style remains faithful to Hubert's classic and terroirdriven approach, with greater aromatic expression, silkier and more unctuous textures in the reds, allowing them to drink
earlier, without compromising their ability to age. The domaine
is known in Burgundy for using a significant proportion of
whole clusters that varies from one to cuvée to another
depending on the plant material and the vintage.
Vine growing
Organic since 1995 and biodynamic since 2005. All our wines
