This wine comes to us from Crescendo Winery in Napa Valley. Crescendo takes it’s name from a speakeasy that had opened right after the passing of Prohibition. Legend has it that this speakeasy was in the basement of the Napa Opera House and offered guests only the finest wines from the area! Today the winery has the help of Paul Hobbs who consults with winemaking. This wine is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Malbec and Zinfandel. We were wowed by this wine when we tasted it. Big lush and dark red fruits including cassis, blackberries, black raspberries, plum with hints of chocolate, coconut and sweet oak which lead to a soft dose of tannincs and a long, full, lush finish. Bring on those barbecued ribs.
